Our hand-knitted Slabada Sweater is one that's pretty special to us. She was designed by lithuanian model Giedrė Dukauskaitė who teamed up with her best friend, Vaida Stankutė, a fellow-model-turned-clinical-psychologist, to design their perfect off-runway knit set that empowered other women. Slabada was named after Giedrė's hometown in rural Lithuania and was inspired by the beautiful landscapes there.

You'll get a card with your order telling you exactly who knitted your garment and a little about them.
"Our Slabada Sweater is made with comfort in mind so she's a little oversized. If you'd like a snugglier fit, size down."
Every purchase of a Slabada knit funds either an hour-long psychologist consultation for a woman looking to leave an abusive relationship or a domestic violence survivor's stay at a safehouse. All donations will be made to Vilnius Women's House Crisis Center, a non-profit providing specialized complex help for women experiencing violence in Lithuania.
