Pintinė crochet bag is an elevated take on the traditional woven baskets we grew up seeing just about everywhere in the Baltics. Inspired by our childhood summer days when we had nowhere to be, just roaming through meadows and picking berries, the textile pattern is developed using the crochet puff stitch technique in a non-conventional way. It's interlaced to replicate the pattern of the braided hair plait and the same method used in traditionally woven baskets. It takes 18 hours, more than two full working days, to handcraft the Pintinė from start to finish.

  • CUSTOMIZATIONS

    Handmade means made for you. We offer free customisations for most of our handmade products. If you choose a custom color, please allow up to 10 extra working days for us to finish your knit. We'll let you know by email once it's on the way.

    Colour: Choose from available colours: Dark Wheat, Black, Lemon, Dew, Lilac, Orange

    Size: the shape can be increased/decreased upon request. Shoulder strap: shortening by 5-10cm

    We don't believe in deadstock. All of our Pintinė bags are produced in small batches by female artisans in rural Lithuania. One bag alone takes full 4 days for an artisan to crochet by hand. Wanna put a face to a name? You'll also receive a card about the knitter who made your dress. For the knit, we use deadstock yarn spun from 100% natural cotton..

Our latest arrivals embark on a nostalgic journey into the carefree days of childhood, inspired by the timeless connection between our Baltic heritage and nature's embrace. Drawing from the enchantment of wild swimming under the night sky, we delved into the Lithuanian folktale of "Eglė, The Queen of Serpents," finding resonance in its themes of togetherness and reverence for the natural world. Through intricate knit stitches echoing rippling water and braiding patterns reminiscent of traditional rituals — mirroring the sisters bathing in the lake in the folktale — our new pieces evoke the essence of summer's magic.
