Hand-knitted from a luxurious extrafine merino and brushed cotton yarn, this hot water bottle elevates cozy evenings at home with its fisherman's rib technique, providing extra volume and coziness. The chunky single cable upfront draws inspiration from intertwined tree roots, making it only fitting that we've named it "Šaknys" ("Roots" in Lithuanian), a nod to the hot water bottle's long-standing tradition in the Baltics, cherished by our grandmothers and great-grandmothers. It takes 12 hours, almost two full working days, to handcraft the Šaknys from start to finish.

Use this hot water bottle with its knitted cover to stay warm on chilly evenings or to or soothe aches and pains. A natural rubber water bottle included.

  • CUSTOMIZATIONS

    Handmade means made for you. We offer free customisations for most of our handmade products. If you choose a custom color, please allow up to 10 extra working days for us to finish your knit. We'll let you know by email once it's on the way.

  • SUSTAINABILITY

    We don't believe in deadstock. All of our Šaknys knits are produced in small batches by female artisans in rural Lithuania. Wanna put a face to a name? You'll also receive a card about the knitter who made your knit.

    For the knit, we use 100% natural yarn, with no microplastics and no harmful or irritant chemicals used, made from a luxurious merino wool and cotton blend. The yarn is soft and cruelty-free.
