Each Žara top takes over 15 hours for a knitter to hand-crochet.

The glow in the sky just before sunrise, that's what "žara" means in Lithuanian. Crocheted in a petal-chain stitch inspired by wildflowers from a bamboo and cotton blend, the top is relaxed and sculptural. Light enough to forget you're wearing it, distinctive enough that no one else will. Wear as a set with Vakaris shorts, or on its own.

Hand-crocheted by our artisans

We're seriously proud of the knitters team we've gathered. Some work full time, others knit when they have time after taking care of their families. Currently, we have around 70 hand-knitters who work from home in rural Lithuania and two vetted, audited, family-run, female-founded partner production factories. Wanna put a face to a name? You'll receive a card about the knitter who made your Vasara dress.
