responsible wool

Inspired by the texture of rippling water, we named this slightly cropped cardigan after the river of Nemunas. This cardigan evokes the nostalgia of our Baltic roots and childhood memories. With intricate traveling cables that ebb and flow like the very river it honors, Nemunas is a heartfelt tribute to the natural beauty and culture of the Baltics.

Please note that Nemunas knit is made-to-order.  The production timeline encompasses up to 14 working days for our skilled knitters to meticulously craft your sweater and for us to efficiently process your order.

    100% RWS Fine Merino Wool.
    Store folded. Dry clean.

What's better than a sustainably sourced knit? A sustainably sourced knit with free worldwide shipping and free exchanges. We're climate neutral certified, which means that not only is all of our packaging sustainable, but we also work with non-profits to offset our shipping carbon footprint. We want to make sure you love our pieces as much as we do. If for some reason you'd like to return a piece altogether, we'll always accept unworn, unwashed and unaltered knits with original tags attached. Head to our FAQ for more details.

We don't believe in deadstock. All of our Nemunas cardigans are produced in small batches by female artisans in rural Lithuania. One piece alone can take anywhere from 5 to 6 days to knit by hand. Wanna put a face to a name? You'll also receive a card about the knitter who made your dress.

For the knit, we use 100% natural yarn, with no microplastics and no harmful or irritant chemicals used, spun entirely from merino wool by our suppliers in Italy. The yarn is cruelty-free and carries the Responsinble Wool Standard (RSW) certification. It is also verified as "Land to Market," meaning the wool comes from a land that is verified regenerative.

Our artisans use a technique of one single thread for the entire cardigan, meaning there is virtually no fabric scarps or waste.

Our latest arrivals embark on a nostalgic journey into the carefree days of childhood, inspired by the timeless connection between our Baltic heritage and nature's embrace. Drawing from the enchantment of wild swimming under the night sky, we delved into the Lithuanian folktale of "Eglė, The Queen of Serpents," finding resonance in its themes of togetherness and reverence for the natural world. Through intricate knit stitches echoing rippling water and braiding patterns reminiscent of traditional rituals — mirroring the sisters bathing in the lake in the folktale — our new pieces evoke the essence of summer's magic.
